since last time I posted

Here's a rundown of my Christmas vacation.
Colorado, mall santa on Christmas Eve, shopping, seeing the Colorado Benders, ran up a big-ass hill behind Stacie's, more shopping, crocheted my gma a scarf, Kohls cousins Christmas, s'mores (yum), walk to the pond, YMCA, the Blades (a local band) on new year's eve, back to Ellsworth, and lots and lots of eating.
Of course I got some groovy gifts: a Nike+ that tracks my runs and a Margarator!! The kids have spent some time getting better at video games and K's pumped because she's getting so much better at Guitar Hero!!
JD's in a tourney at Manhattan this weekend! I love Manhattan!!

We are supposed to leave for Colorado tomorrow morning. Pray for good weather for the trip!!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

The Warren's are running behind. I just took the kids' pic for Christmas cards. Hopefully we can get those out before Christmas.
Dee and I are going to Dallas for the last home game at Texas Stadium on Saturday evening. It will be a fun but fast trip......

i'm normal!!

That's a first, huh?! My Wii Fit told me so!! I went from overweight to normal just today. Tonight was the final weigh-in for the pound plunge. Our team finished fifth and we won McDonald's salad, not a Big Mac!! Dee was the big winner as he won a free month's membership for the YMCA plus a free trainer for that month. I'm jealous!
Linda M.'s been living with us the last 2 days. She's laying out Cowboy's book. I think her butt's tired of the chair!! AK's also her helping her.
Dee watching the Cowboys tonight and is pumped because we'll be there next Saturday!!
LLK-- we saw sister Cindy at Sears and had a a good chat.

I'm off to bed after the girl scout mother/daughter ball. K and I had a great time dancing to the Jonas Brothers and Taylor Swift. Earlier in the day the whole family went to KWU's Christmas by Candlelight which was wonderful as always.
We are still fighting colds and my hip's still bothering me so only 4 of my 10 miles this week was actual running. The other was walking. Thank God I can still ride the bike!!

friday's here

I sitting here in front of a decorated tree. Earlier this week I would have never guessed that the tree would be decorated by tonight. D bought new LED lights so it's really bright. We have so many Hallmark and other ornaments that I think we could decorate three trees.
This week's been so busy. JD's been busy with musical rehearsals, bball practice and midweek class. I've been to Hays and studied for my final stats test, which I took last night. All of us but JD have been fighting colds.
Normally we would have been at a basketball game, but decided to not travel to Buhler. We are listening to it on the radio. Tomorrow I'm pretty much running the JV wrestling tournament.
Oh yeah, I hurt my hip over Thanksgiving so I've laid off the running for the week. I have been riding the bike to get some exercise and I hope to get back to running on Sunday.

my little man's a music man

I found out today the JD made a pretty big part (Winthrop) in the Music Man musical here at South High. Like he needs something more to do. He'll have a great time though. Te show is Feb. 5-7 and he even has a solo. He doesn't know yet so I can't wait to tell him after school tonight. He'll be pumped!!
